Fifth Gear Hot-Hatch comparison

For fans of hot-hatches, in particular, the highly acclaimed Honda Civic Type R (EP3), check out this track comparison conducted by the co-host of UK car show "Fifth Gear".



Lovely cars and awesome driving by Tiff!!

I just wish that Honda Australia would start selling cars for the performance enthusiast once again. The performance Honda's of yesteryear such as the Honda Civic VTi-R (hatch/coupe), Integra Type R (DC2) and NSX are long gone and we are left with a range of models that consists of only two performance-oriented cars, the S2000 and Integra Type S.

What is there NOT to like about this car? Well, besides the fact that only a lucky few could afford it, pretty much everything else is likeable.


I've always liked my Mercs - from the classics such as the 1950's 300SL 'Gull-wing' to the current cars, namely, SL-class, CLS-class etc.

While the SL is a gorgeous looking car with supercar performance to match in SL55/65 guise, it's probably not as exotic as say, a Lamborghini Murcielago.

Enter the SLR.

The SLR is the product of a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and its Formula 1 partner McLaren and their aim was to create a super sports GT (Gran Turismo) car. And they have succeeded in creating an absolute masterpiece that is stunning to look at with the performance credentials to back it up.

Now that is one heck of an interior!!

I don't know about you, but this car looks amazing!! It'd been a while since I've complimented the looks of a BMW...well, since the current version E46 M3 was released back in 00/01 - such are the controversial designs of their recent cars led by head designer Chris Bangle.

Being the car enthusiast that I am, I've often been asked by friends and acquaintainces alike, "What should I look out for in a used car, Charles?".

Now by no means am I a qualified mechanic or anything, but I have had my fair share of troubles with used cars - ahhh, the memories of being stranded in the middle of nowhere in my previous 'bombs' just keep flooding back!

Price of petrol continues to rise...

Australian motorists are paying record prices at the bowser and there are signs more hikes are on the way.

The Australian Institute of Petroleum, which monitors fuel prices across the nation, found the average price of petrol hit a record $1.34 a litre during the past week.
