Video: Corvette ZR1 7min 26 'Ring run

Late last month, Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge J. Juechter revealed that a bone-stock Corvette ZR1 supercar driven by a development engineer had lapped the Nurburgring Nordschliefe in an astonishing 7:26.4.

This earth-shattering time betters the Nissan GT-R's much-vaunted best time of 7 minutes and 29 seconds by some three seconds and has given General Motors the bragging rights in the supercar world for the time being.





An in-car video was promised for the week of July 7 and true to his word, the clip has now made its way online so click on the video clip to watch the ZR1's super quick run around the 'Ring.

2010 Camaro convertible pre-production images

Chevrolet Camaro convertible


General Motors has released two small but official images of the 2010 Camaro convertible in pre-production form for the Camaro fans out there.

GM has kept hush-hush with specific details and have let the pictures do the talking instead. The first image shows the Camaro convertible with the top down while the second shot reveals a soft-top - in lieu of the popular hard-tops - and the convertible's profile with the roof closed.

In its current state of development, it appears GM has done reasonably well by not sacrificing the lines of the coupe by chopping off the roof.

Higher resolution images will be posted as soon as they come to hand.
