Audi TT roadster
October 19th 2006 04:28
Just three months after the unveiling of the all new re-designed Audi TT, the German manufacturer has unveiled the convertible version or 'roadster' of the sexy coupe.
Featuring the same beautiful lines as those found on the coupe version, the roadster comes as standard with an electro-hydraulically powered soft top, which opens in just 12 seconds at the push of a button, and can even be operated on the move at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Audi offers a choice of two engines for its new TT Roadster: the 3.2-litre V6 and 2.0 TFSI. In V6-guise, 250 bhp is available along with Audi's renowned quattro AWD drive system as standard. The 2.0 TFSI engine, also found in the VW Golf GTI, blends turbocharging with petrol direct injection technology to deliver 200 bhp to the front wheels.
Australian release date and price is unknown at this stage.
