AIMS: Bufori La Joya
November 2nd 2007 17:15
Aussie sports car brand Bufori made its Australian International Motor Show this year.
To celebrate this special occasion, the brand launched its Malaysian-manufactured Mk III La Joya at the show with retro-styling belying a sophisticated chassis and drivetrain beneath the sleek skin.
Under the bonnet though, there's nothing retro as the La Joya is powered by a bespoke 2.7-litre quad cam 172kW V6 engine mid-mounted just ahead of the rear axle!
Aided by bodywork made of lightweight carbon fibre and Kevlar, the engine can propel the La Joya from 0-100km/h in a quick 6.7 seconds.
The cabin is fully insulated for heat and sound, but contains old-world luxuries such as 100% Persian silk carpets, French polished walnut dash, 24-carat gold-plated instrumentation and optional 24-carat solid gold bonnet emblem.
