BMW M3 vs Nissan GT-R vs 911 GT3


UK motoring authority AutoCar has test-driven three of the hottest high performance cars on the market back-to-back on a private racetrack.

In the yellow corner, we have the race-bred Porsche 911 GT3 - a razor sharp performance machine honed by Germany's finest; the E92 BMW M3 coupe with a fire-breathing 4.0-litre V8 engine takes its place in the white corner; and last but not least, we have arguably the most talked about car in the world right now - the all-conquering Nissan "Godzilla" GT-R.

Porsche 911 GT3 v BMW M3 (VIDEO)

This latest video doing the rounds on popular video sharing site YouTube pits two fine German sports cars against each other.

In the white corner is the race-bred Porsche 911 (997) GT3 - this light-weight, naturally aspirated track monster is one of the best in the business.

In the red corner is the all new E92 BMW M3 - one of the finest Bavarian road-going sports cars.

Sure, this match-up was always going to be heavily stacked against the M3 but it's interesting to see what it can do, or rather, what it needs to do better in order to keep up with the GT3.
