Aston Martin relaunches Lagonda marque
September 2nd 2008 06:30
The Lagonda marque is set for a revival as a concept in 2009 - its centenary year - according to Aston Martin boss Ulrich Bez, who says the relaunched brand will use a unique design language as Aston Martin does.
"The revival of the Lagonda brand will allow us to develop cars which can have a different character than a sports car, and therefore offer a perfect synergy," said Dr. Bez.
"Lagonda will use a unique design language as Aston Martin does. We will take elements of DNA from the past but will be very future orientated as we are with Aston Martin."

The marque boasts a rich history where it was founded in Middlesex and incorporated into Aston Martin after WWII. The relaunch of the Lagonda brand could help the company extend its sales reach into 100 countries around the world - more than triple the amount of countries where Aston Martins are currently sold.
The first reborn Lagonda model will be a concept car in 2009 followed by the first production model to arrive sometime in 2012 boasting a unique blend of exclusive, luxurious and truly versatile qualities.
