Aston Martin One-77

Luxury marque Aston Martin has released a tantalising first image of its newest flagship supercar - the ultra exotic "One-77". Details of the new model are still sketchy but what we do know is that the One-77 will be powered by a stonking 7.0-litre V12 mill that sits on a completely new chassis made entirely of expensive carbon fibre along with ultra-lightweight aluminium body panels.

Just 77 examples of the ultra-exclusive coupe will be produced at around AU$2 million a pop with discerning customers able to customise their purchase to their exact specifications.

One-77 fuses advanced technology with stunning Aston Martin design to create possibly the world's most desirable automotive art form. Based on a sophisticated carbon fibre chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body, this 7.0 litre V12 super car will deliver exhilarating performance for a strictly limited number of discerning customers.

More details of this exciting new flagship will be posted as soon as they come to hand.

Ultra luxury car maker Rolls-Royce have released the first official sketches of their new car - the RR4 sedan - despite the fact that the entry-level sedan won't be seen in showrooms until 2010 at the very earliest.

According to the press release, the RR4 will be smaller than the Phantom saloon and with power coming from a new engine unique to Rolls-Royce. The sketches reveal the styling of the RR4 will be in-line with the long bonnet and high-waistline design of the Phantom range.

The engineering development for the RR4 is now fully underway with the Goodwood manufacturing facilities completely undergoing reconfiguration to accommodate the production of the new sedan.

Chief designer, Ian Cameron, said:"Effortless performance and standard-setting levels of comfort and efficiency, executed with the utmost care and attention, remain fundamentals of Rolls-Royce design. The RR4 has a more informal presence than the Phantom models with a greater emphasis on driving. In design terms this is expressed through its slightly smaller dimensions and more organic form, yet with powerful, purposeful proportions. It is a true and uncompromising Rolls-Royce in every sense."

Further design and engineering details will be revealed over the course of 2009. With the release of the entry-level RR4, owning a Rolls-Royce may never have been this 'affordable'.
