2009 Land Rover Discovery 3

The 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3 will receive an array of exterior and interior upgrades to maintain its competitiveness in the premium, luxury all-purpose vehicle segment.

These changes include a re-profiled, body coloured front bumper, a revised rear bumper and wheel arches which are body coloured on SE and HSE models. The distinctive, asymmetric two-piece tailgate now comes with body coloured tailgate lift handle and clear-lens side indicators as standard across the range. The attention to detail continues with the revised "tungsten" coloured side vent and "tungsten" door, on the on SE and HSE models.

Rounding off the styling changes is a new set of 19-inch 7-spoke alloy wheels and three new exterior metallic paint colours - Santorini Black, Galway Green and Bournville (black with a hint of brown. Customers are now able to choose a new "almond" leather trim colour for the interior.

Roger Jory, Land Rover Australia General Manager, said: "With over 100 international awards to date, the Land Rover Discovery 3 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate all purpose vehicle. The latest revisions add to an already class-leading package and build on the Discovery 3's unique position as one of the most versatile vehicles in the world. On-road refinement to rival executive saloons, flexibility to surpass people carriers and class-leading all terrain capability."

Specification changes for 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3:

TDV6 S: Air Suspension & Terrain Response has been added to the TDV6 S while leather seats have now been made an option.

SE Derivatives: Hi ICE is introduced as standard on SE. This includes the addition of a 6 disc in dash changer, 8 x harmon/kardon™ speakers, and steering wheel controls

HSE Derivatives: Premium ICE is introduced as standard on HSE derivatives which offers the best level of sound available on Discovery 3. With 13 x harmon/kardon™ speakers and Logic 7 surround sound, this system fully exploits Discovery 3's interior Dynamics.

In addition a new Technology Pack is now available as an option on SE & HSE derivatives, offering more value at less cost by packaging Premium Navigation & Bluetooth Phone Integration (PTI) together.

2009 Range Rover Sport

The Range Rover Sport will receive a series of aesthetic upgrades for the 2009 model year including updates to both the exterior and interior. Headlining these changes is a revised exterior trim including body colour finish to the tailgate trim, a set of clear taillights and side indicators, a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels and three new metallic paint colours - Santorini Black, Galway Green and Bournville (black with a hint of brown).

The interior of the Range Rover Sport is a plush affair with the addition of a metallic plate finish on the centre console, air vent bezels and door pull handles. Premium leather with diagonal stitching is now available on door inserts in Ebony, Almond and Ivory.

Continued enhancement and refinement best describes the changes for the Range Rover Sport 09MY. These include a refreshed exterior trim, new wheel designs and improvements to the interior craftsmanship enhancing the premium feel.

The exterior enhancements are focused around the refreshed rear end details, which include body colour finish to the tailgate trim, revised tread mat (on upper surface of rear bumper), the addition of clear-lens rear lights and clear lens side indicators.

The dramatic stance of the vehicle is further enhanced with the addition of a third 20 inch alloy wheel design, available in painted silver or a diamond turned finish. The new wheel style is complemented with the addition of a shadow chrome finish now available for the first time on the existing 10 spoke 20-inch Alloy wheels.

The introduction of three new metallic paint colours - Santorini Black, Galway Green and Bournville (black with a hint of brown) - further differentiates the Range Rover Sport 09MY.

The desirability of the Range Rover Sport is further enhanced with the introduction of Noble, a metallic plate finish, on the centre console sides, air vent bezels and door pull handles to emphasize the clean architectural graphics of the cabin. Premium leather with diagonal stitching is now available on door inserts in Ebony, Almond and Ivory.
