2009 Citroen C4

French car manufacturer Citroen has unveiled the facelifted C4 hatchback ahead of its world premiere at the Moscow International Motor Show in late August.
The current generation Citroen C4 has been on the market since 2004 so a midlife makeover has been required to keep the car looking fresh in face of competition from rival manufacturers. The C4’s exterior has been upgraded with a new front bumper, a more muscular bonnet and restyled alloy wheels.
Interior-wise, the 2009 C4 features new upholstery and grain on several trim parts while the digital rev counter has been relocated to the middle of the dashboard. Also featured is a new-generation navigation system that comes with a Bluetooth function and can be connected to portable electronic devices. There is also a USB-socket and a dock for what appears to be an Apple iPhone.
A choice of two new petrol engines co-developed with BMW is now available - the C4’s VTi 120 normally aspirated engine replaces the 1.6i 16V and has a capacity of 1.6-liters developing 88 kW (120 hp). A 1.6-litre turbocharged THP 150 replaces the 2.0i 16V and produces 110 kW (150 hp).
