Porsche set to unveil new DSG-style gearbox

Following the huge success of Volkswagen's DSG dual-clutch gearbox, other manufacturers have been forced to play catch-up and launch their own version of this great technology.
Just last month, it was reported that BMW is set to launch their "M DCT" dual-clutch gearbox in the all new E92 M3 from March next year thus admitting their SMG sequential manual gearbox just wasn't quite up to scratch.
Now sports car manufacturer Porsche has caught in on the act and is set to unveil the "PDK" (Porsche Doppel Kupplungen) dual-clutch transmission in place of their
ZCars is unsure of when and which model the new "PDK" gearbox will make its debut in, but we predict that it could very well be Porsche's upcoming four-door 'coupe', the Panamera in 2009.
