The Official Alfa Romeo MiTo logo

Alfa Romeo MiTo

Less than a month ago, Italian car maker Alfa Romeo revealed its 8C Competizione inspired MiTo compact hatchback and now we bring you the MiTo's official logo.

The official logo was chosen via an online contest Alfa Romeo had setup to determine which badge design would best adorn the MiTo's posterior, and the badge - although quite simple in design - appears to mimic the car's funky styling.

The online polling strategy follows the same idea Alfa Romeo introduced when it came to naming the MiTo. In actual fact, the name 'Furiosa' won that contest, but Alfa Romeo thought that MiTo was a more befitting name for the car thus had the ultimate say in the official name.

A choice of six logos made the final as you can see from the above image - we assume number 7 was put there for a laugh!

The Alfa MiTo will be powered by a turbocharged range of petrol and diesel engines spanning 90-155bhp, with the range due to be extended by higher powered versions.

Fiat 500 Felipe Massa

When Felipe Massa asked for a company car, he surely expected a customised Ferrari F430 Scuderia delivered to his door step.

But to his shock horror, his employer had other ideas and delivered him an all-new Fiat 500 instead! Fiat, which owns Ferrari, delivered the new mini-car powered by an exclusive 88kW (120hp) 1.4-litre engine complete with personalised and unique graphic details including his signature embossed in the sill scuff plate to the Brazilian Formula 1 driver in Monte Carlo.

Publicity stunt: A Fiat 500 sits on the London Eye

Why the signature embossed in the sill scuff plate? Our is guess is that perhaps Kimi got one too and they didn't want the two drivers getting confused with each other's new car!

According to MotorAuthority, the car has been modified by Fiat Powertrain Racing - the carmarker’s division responsible for the design, research, development and production of performance engines.

Oh well, a free car's a free car in our books but if Massa truly can't get over the image of himself in such a cute mini-car, he can always step back into his other company car - a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.
