MINI Clubman pricing revealed!

The all-new MINI Clubman wagon will arrive in Australia next month with a price tag starting from $34,400.

The Clubman range begins with the 88kW 1.6-litre Cooper Clubman and Chilli model priced at $34,400 and $38,200 respectively. The top-of-the-range Cooper S Clubman, which is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine developing 128 kW will be priced from $43,200 and up to $47,000 for the Chilli model.

A six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifts is available as an option.

MINI Crossman SUV confirmed for 2010

Following on from the Cooper and Clubman nameplates, Mini will be calling its latest model the ‘Crossman' to carry on the theme of labeling all its cars with names that start with the letter 'C'.

According to Mini CEO Kay Segler, the fourth model in Mini’s lineup will be a new SUV variant and will arrive on the market sometime in 2010. Available in both AWD and FWD versions, the new model will be manufactured in Austria and should see the Mini brand successfully reach record profits and production units at launch time.

But a Mini SUV? Since when did the word 'mini' and SUV go hand in hand?
