AIMS: Skoda Yeti Concept
October 17th 2007 08:30
Czech automaker Skoda showcased the Yeti concept at the Australian International Motor Show and it was undoubtedly their main attraction of the show.
The Yeti is a compact SUV targeted at the younger generation who enjoys the great outdoors, but doesn't want to have to deal with the large and bulky exterior of most SUVs and poor fuel consumption.
Finished in a light metallic blue livery and white roof, the Yeti looks funky yet practical - the front and rear bumpers, as well as the front A-pillars have been given a matte-black off-road body treatment with the raised ride height hinting at some off-road capabilities.
A pair of large, round fog-lamps are mounted above the bumper to provide greater illumination and better protection from accidental bumps and scuffs. Further illustrating its outdoorsy demeanour, a built-in roof rack system arches from the A to the D pillars.
