Oopsy-Daisy: Double-decker Smart ForTwo almost tips over...
It's a bit too late to pull off an April Fool's prank now but everyday tomfoolery is still acceptable, isn't it? And that is exactly what this following video is all about although stupidity was the first word that came to mind when I first laid my eyes on this daring stunt by UK motoring program Fifth Gear.
A 'regular' Smart ForTwo
You see, what they have tried to do here is double the seating and storage capacity of a Smart ForTwo. For those of you that don't know what the Smart ForTwo is or what it looks like, you can either click here or take my word that is looks like a miniature bread van with seating for driver and one passenger only and very limited storage capacity.
In a bid do double up on seating/storage, two Smart cars were bolted on top of one another using four bolts. Sure, the double-decker Smart ForTwo achieved its aim of doubling up on seating capacity and storage, but wait until you see what it does for its handling...
