Maserati GranTurismo MC Corse Concept

The famous Trident marque, Maserati, has released details and images of its latest track model called the GranTurismo MC Corse Concept.
Based on the range-topping GranTurismo S, the track-day special MC Corse has received a series of performance tweaks such as a new intake system, exhaust system with a race-bred catalytic converter and raised central exhaust to bump power up to a hefty 331 kW (450 hp).
Road holding has been significantly improved by a widened track and stiffer suspension settings to improve turn-in and to minimise body roll. Huge pizza-sized brake discs with monoblock racing calipers have been fitted to withstand heavy use on a racetrack while aerodynamic efficiency has been enhanced with a subtle bodykit featuring a new front splitter, side skirts and a rear diffuser integrated with twin exit exhaust pipes.
Overall weight has been sliced to just under 1,400kg through various weight-saving measures but the MC Corse is still slightly on the chubby end of the scale for an outright track-ready vehicle.
The GranTurismo MC Corse is still very much in concept form with production yet to be confirmed. But here's hoping...!
