May 8th 2008 06:50
The very chic all-new 3-door variant of the popular Mazda2 compact hatchback has joined the 5-door version in Australian showrooms from today in an announcement from Mazda Australia.
The Mazda2 3-door variant is powered by the same 1.5-litre engine which develops 76 kW and 137 Nm of power and torque respectively and returns a combined fuel cycle of just 6.4L/100km for the 5-speed manual and 6.8L/100km for the 4-speed auto transmission.
Unlike its 5-door sibling, however, the 3-door version will only be available in two trim-levels - Neo and Maxx - priced from $15,750 (Neo) to $17,960 (Maxx). Optional extras include automatic transmission ($1,650) and a safety pack ($1,100) which includes stability and traction control systems and curtain airbags.
