Video: Nissan 370Z at private gathering

Following Nissan’s release of three official images and the confirmation of some tech specs on the LA Auto Show website, some much anticipated video footage of the new 370Z has made its way onto Street Fire. Captured while at a private Z gathering in the US, the footage shows the likes of the 240Z, 350Z and even some GT-Rs for good measure.

The star of the show, however, was the 370Z and it didn't disappoint in blue and red liveries. While the jury is still out on those wraparound 'boomerang' style head- and taillights, the smaller but wider looking body with flared guards looks sensational.

The 2009 Nissan 370Z will be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17.

LA Auto Show website confirms Nissan 370Z specs

The LA Auto Show has jumped the gun on Nissan by revealing some juicy information on the all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z ahead of its official launch at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a couple of days time.

The first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since its reintroduction as a 2003 model will feature a 3.7-litre DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control developing 244 kW - an increase of 19 kW - mated to an all new 7-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual transmission with synchronized downshift rev matching system - a world’s first.

Nearly every piece and component of the 370Z has been redesigned, including a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials, plus a more rigid body structure, and a better power-to-weight ratio.

More details will be revealed after the launch of the 370Z on November 17.

Nismo S-Tune 370Z

While the much anticipated Nissan 370Z isn't due to be launched until next week's LA auto show, the Japanese car maker has already announced two special 'S-Tune' packages under the Nismo range for the new 370Z

Nissan Hybrid Electric Vehicle

Nissan 'Race Academy' for GT-R customers

In what could be a sign of things to come for local buyers of the Nissan GT-R, Japanese car maker Nissan has launched what they call a ‘Race Academy’ for customers who have pre-ordered the Godzilla. In the UK for instance, customers will be offered the opportunity to participate in Race Academy events at either the Silverstone F1 circuit or at the Nürburgring race track in Germany
