The elegant Maserati Quattroporte sedan is light years ahead of the conservative Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-series in terms of styling and now looks better than ever for the 2009 model year courtesy of a mid-life makeover.

The makeover has given the Quattroporte and the Quattroporte S model (316 kW 4.7-litre V8 engine) a cosmetic upgrade featuring a new front grille and bumper, redesigned headlights and taillights incorporating the latest in LED-technology and a bespoke interior featuring the integration of the new Maserati Multimedia System.

2009 Maserati Quattroporte and Quattroporte S

Italian luxury car maker Maserati has given the posh Quattroporte sedan a mid-life makeover including a new Quattroporte S model featuring the same 316 kW 4.7-litre V8 engine from the GranTurismo S coupe and Alfa 8C Competizione.

While there are no mechanical upgrades on the standard Quattroporte sedan, both models will receive minor tweaks in the styling department including a new front grille and bumper, redesigned headlights and taillights (now with LED-technology) and more aerodynamic side mirrors which is refreshing given the increase in size of side mirrors on other new vehicles.

The bespoke interior remains largely unchanged apart from the integration of the new Maserati Multimedia System. Customers will also be able to customise the cabin to suit their taste through the personalisation program.
