Nissan GT-R V-Spec caught in testing?
December 7th 2007 06:30
Could this be a prototype for the rumoured V-Spec version of the Nissan "Godzilla" GT-R which is said to be due out in 2009?
These series of photos doing the rounds over the past few days shows what appears to be a modified GT-R caught testing on a race-track. The eagle-eyed will be able to spot the roll-cage inside the cabin, the bonnet pins (carbon fibre bonnet?) the lower than standard ride-height and aftermarket Volk TE37 wheels.
It also appears as though the front grille has been removed, but for what reason, we are not sure. Most, if not, all motoring enthusiasts would know the shape of the new GT-R by now so the only reason we can think of is for improved cooling etc.
Traditionally, the GT-R V-Spec receives sportier suspension settings and engine upgrades over the 'standard' GT-R.
