Renault Clio and Megane World Series

French car maker Renault has announced the arrival of two special edition models featuring exclusive sports body styling for the UK market. Dubbed the Renault Clio World Series and Renault Megane World Series, both special edition models will be unveiled publicly for the first time at the famous Silverstone racetrack over the July 4th weekend.

Inspired by the World Series by Renault touring car series, Renault's free festival of motorsport is expected to draw a crowd of over 100,000 as fans flock to see a thrilling weekend of action-packed racing including the 500hp Formula Renault 3.5.

Renault Clio and Megane World Series special edition

The Clio, Mégane Hatch and Coupé World Series models are based on the most popular Dynamique trim level, adding extra equipment such as an extended front spoiler, side skirts, a sports rear bumper plus the obligatory WSR badging.

Customers in the UK can choose from the 1.2 16V 75, the highly efficient TCe 100 or the frugal dCi 86 engines.

The Mégane Hatch World Series by Renault is also based on the Dynamique five-door and adds an extended front spoiler, coupé-style bumper inserts, side skirts, a sports rear bumper, rear spoiler, WSR badging and 17-inch alloy wheels. Engine choices are 1.6 16V 110 or the dCi 106, both mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The sexiest of the trio is arguably the Mégane Coupé World Series with its rakish design of the standard car with an extended front spoiler, side skirts, sports rear bumper and 17-inch alloy wheels.
