Lamborghini hanging on the wall

Lamborghini Countach on the wall

A US millionaire, Richard Moriarty, has decorated a wall in his new $2 million dollar on Newport Beach with a full-sized 1974 Lamborghini Countach.

Now that's some artwork!

The engine-less - removed and transformed into an 'exotic' coffee table - Lambo was maneuvered into the luxury pad through a skylight by a 70-tonne crane and into the living room before the black and red Countach was mounted onto a wall.

As you can imagine, getting the Lamborghini into the house was no easy task and took about an hour, not to mention the months of planning, but the results speak for themselves and it certainly is the coolest wallpaper we've ever seen!

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

The local importers for supercar marque Lamborghini has announced the Australian pricing and specification for the baby Lambo - the upgraded Gallardo LP560-4 with larger displacement 5.2-litre V10 (up from 5.0-litres) developing 412 kW of power at 8000rpm.

The facelifted Gallardo will cost cashed-up Australian customers $475,000 for the standard model equipped with a conventional six-speed manual transmission. Those that prefer - or 90 per cent of customers - the E-gear 'F1-style' sequential-shift transmission option will have to fork out an extra $27,204 to rest that left foot.

The Gallardo has been an overwhelming success for the brand since it was first launched in 2003. Over 7,100 vehicles have rolled off the production line at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory making it the most successful supercar ever to wear the 'Raging Bull' badge.

The powerful heart of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is the new 5.2 litre V10 engine with an output of 560 PS (412 kW) at 8000 rpm. The increase of 40 PS compared with that of the previous Gallardo, and the approximate 20 kilogram reduction in weight, improves the power weight ratio to 2.5 kilograms per PS (hp) and thus enhances performance. The LP560-4 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, its speed at 11.8 seconds is 200 km/h and its top speed lies at 325 km/h. At the same time the new, highly efficient engine enthrals its driver with its direct fuel injection system - “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata”. Despite its clearly increased power, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 per cent.

"The Gallardo has changed the face of Lamborghini in this country, it is a very user friendly supercar and we are extremely excited by the arrival of the LP560-4," says Andrew Smith, Managing Director of the three Lamborghini dealerships in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
