The Persona sedan from Malaysian car maker Proton boasts a distinctive design and stylish interior which will give the small car market in Australia a shake-up with its competitive pricing.
Equipped with a fuel economical (6.6L/100kms) and low emissions 1.6-litre engine with 82 kW and 120 Nm of torque mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, the Persona also boasts an array of safety features including dual airbags, ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and a new auto-lock system.
Other features include reverse sensors, electronic door mirrors, multi-function trip computer, remote keyless boot entry, three-year unlimited km warranty, seven-year anti-corrosion warranty and three-year roadside assistance.
The Persona sedan is available with a range of seven colours - Solid White/Red, Blueberry Tea, Light Gold, Tranquillity Black, Metal grey and Iridescent White - and is priced from $16,990.
