Porsche unveiled one of the fastest convertibles in the world at the Australian International Motor Show in the form of a Porsche 911 (code name: 997) Turbo Cabriolet, which went on sale in Europe just two months ago.
Looking pretty in black, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet features a 3.6-litre twin-turbo engine with Porsche’s Variable Turbine Geometry to produce 353kW and 620Nm (the optional ‘Sport Chrono’ Turbo Package liberates 680Nm for short bursts) which allows the drop-top to sprint from rest to 100km/h in a blistering 3.8 seconds and onto a top speed of 310km/h!
The open 2 2 seater offers the driving performance of a high-performance sports car while still providing convertible driving pleasure. Not that it matters all that much to the well-heeled, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet is economical in its fuel consumption (compared to its competition), thanks to its deliberate design, outstanding aerodynamics and advanced engine technology.
