Toyota Aurion TRD: The most powerful Toyota ever sold in Australia

Toyota's performance arm - Toyota Racing Development (TRD) - has launched the performance Aurion today in two guises priced from $56,990.
The entry-level TRD Aurion 3500S is joined by the pricier "Sports Luxury" 3500SL at $61,500 and both versions feature the same Eaton supercharged 3.5-litre dual-VVT-i Quad Cam 2GR-FE V6 engine developing 241kW at 6400rpm and 400Nm of torque at 4000rpm.
Weighing in at 1615-1630kg, the TRD Aurion sprints from rest to 100km/h in a time of 6.1 seconds via its front-wheel drive layout.
The 3500S version is equipped with power windows/mirrors/drivers seat, climate control air-conditioning plus special features such as a TRD red steering wheel, scuff plates and alloy sports pedals, leather door trims and red leather/alcantara combination sports seats.
The more luxurious 3500SL edition gets a full leather interior with piano black dash and door highlights and colour-keyed steering wheel and gearshift. The leather seats offers six-way power-adjustable for the front passenger plus keyless entry/start and parking sensors.
Ink and Silver Ash livery will be exclusive to the "SL" version.
