Lexus IS-F vs Audi RS4

November 21st 2007 21:30
Lexus IS-R Audi RS4

In the red corner, we have the Audi RS4 from Germany - the uber performance sedan according to many motoring journalists and drivers.

In the black corner, we have the challenger - the Lexus IS-F from Japan, the marque's first foray into the performance sedan segment.

On paper, things are similar - both vehicles pack a powerful V8 under the hood, although the Audi has 0.8-litre less displacement than the Lexus. Power outputs are awfully close with the IS-F just an extra kilowatt more power at 310kW.

Will the IS-F's extra displacement and grunt reign supreme, or would the high-revving RS4's quattro system give it the advantage on road and track?

Watch the video to find out Edmund's verdict.
