Video: 2009 BMW 3-Series in motion

German car maker BMW's bread-and-butter model, the award-winning 3-series, has received a facelift for the 2009 model year featuring significant changes to the front end styling, a new set of taillights and minor tweaks in the interior.

The front end styling now boasts a sculpted bonnet with various creases to create a more dynamic look, a stream-lined front bumper, redesigned kidney grille, revised headlights and other various subtle changes. The rear end features a new set of 7-series inspired taillights which are much bigger than its predecessor while also featuring LED-technology for brighter illumination and quicker response times.

Video: BMW M3 GT2 ALMS racecar

The introduction of the current generation E92 V8-powered M3 has given BMW an unrestricted entry ticket to the world of American Le Mans Series (ALMS) motorsport with the Bobby Rahal and David Letterman racing team unveiling a new racecar at the Chicago Auto Show in February this year.

Since then, we have heard very little about the 357 kW (485 hp) 4.0-litre V8 M3 racecar - until now. BMW Motorsport in conjunction with the Rahal Letterman racing team has released a video of the ALMS BMW M3 with some superb footage of the racecar on a track together with a road-going M3.

Looking supremely bad-ass in its aggressive widebody armour, the racecar will be rubbing ~~shoulders~~ fenders with the likes of Porsche and Ferrari in the GT2 series this upcoming season.
