Audi TT-S in motion

Those that love the Audi R8 (who doesn't?) but can't afford the asking price of $250,000 should look no further than the gorgeous Audi TT-S.
First released over a decade ago, the original TT took the automotive world by storm with its revolutionary design and drop-dead gorgeous looks winning it praise from fans and critics and dozens of motoring awards worldwide.
The second generation Audi TT was released last year and features evolutionary design cues from that ground breaking model but incorporating better handling prowess to cement its position as a proper driver's car. The latest model to join the TT family is the TT-S performance variant, featuring a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine good for 196 kW.
Sure, it's performance credentials falls well short of the 309 kW Audi R8, but with a 0 - 100km/h time of less than five and a half seconds, the TT-S is far from being a slouch. And with its unmistakable good looks that leaves no doubt that the TT is the younger brother of the R8, it's a winner in our books.
