Video: Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss

The stunning Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is the final iteration of the SLR supercar first launched in 2003 and inspired by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR of 1955.

Named after legendary race car driver Stirling Moss who famously piloted a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7:22am) to victory at the Mille Miglia in 1955, the SLR Stirling Moss features a 478 kW (650 hp) supercharged V8 engine which can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds. Even without a roof, side windows nor windscreen, the SLR Stirling Moss can still reach a top speed of 350 km/h.

Limited to just 75 units, the SLR Stirling Moss will only be sold to current owners of a SLR.

Video: Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series

The latest in line of Mercedes-Benz's high-performance Black Series of vehicles is the flagship SL 65 AMG Black Series - the successor to the SLR as the supercar of the Mercedes range.

One look at the SL 65 AMG Black Series and you know it means business with its heavily flared guards, vented bonnet and aggressive bodykit making it look fast when standing still while the 486 kW 6.0-litre 'Bi-Turbo' V12 is so powerful that it gives the driver the feeling of warped time when the throttle is applied with a heavy right foot.

This beautifully shot video features the monstrous SL 65 AMG Black Series in its natural habitat - on a racetrack - and it is truly a sight, and sound, to behold.

A most worthy successor to the soon-to-be-discontinued SLR.
