The gorgeous Alfa Romeo Mi.To hatch is set to turn the subcompact segment on its head when it officially goes on sale around the world and if you still happen to remain unconvinced, we suggest you check out the latest batch of images and the following video clip showing the 8C Competizione inspired hatch in motion.

The level of attention to design and detail the Mi.To has received is unheard of for a car in this market segment from the high quality interior to the self-leveling headlights which can be witnessed in the video. The car's sporty credentials is showcased through a slalom run which showed very little body roll and a whole heap of composure when its vehicle stability control had to kick in under wet conditions.

Gallery: Alfa MiTo and 8C Competizione

The all-new Alfa MiTo compact sport hatch has joined its brother and inspiration the 8C Competizione for a photo shoot that showcases the uncanny resemblance between the two.

The interior of the MiTo is also shown for the first time and it looks fantastically well crafted and something befitting of the Italian marque from its plush leather seats with Alfa Romeo logo to the perforated leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel.

Alfa Romeo Mi.To

Italian car maker Alfa Romeo have released official images and details of their all-new compact mini hatch. The baby Alfa will be known as the "Mi.To" and is based on the underpinnings of the Fiat Grande Punto platform and will be introduced to international markets (exc. US) in the middle of 2008
